Threadmark

A reading app you can talk to.

Reading an article often raises a question you’d like to ask someone. Threadmark lets you ask it out loud without leaving the page.

The answer shows up next to the passage that prompted it, and the article stays on screen. You can follow up as long as you want, then go back to reading where you left off.

Most of the work is in the interruption and the return: how the app knows you have a question, and how it holds your place while you talk. The reading side works. The voice side is still a prototype and hasn’t been fully tested.
